update PLEASE READ
Folks,
I received an update about this event that I wanted to pass along. Due to the rain, the car show portion of this event will be rescheduled (unless by some miracle the weather does a 180, in which case it will be a go). However, the picnic portion of the event is a GO regardless of weather, as the facility and caterer are non-refundable/transferable. Therefore, if you intend to go, bring your "beater" vehicle instead, dress warmly and enjoy the BBQ, coleslaw, baked beans, potato salad, cookies, pumpkin rolls, sweet tea, water and sodas that they will have available for everyone. The picnic shelter is covered, so no need to eat in the rain. Thanks, Laurie

Another update: the NVMC has now decided to cancel both the picnic and the car show due to the weather. Once I find out the new date, I will pass it on...

Yet another update: This event has been rescheduled to Sun. 11/1/09 and will be at D&V Autobody from 9-3, as they could not reschedule at the park.
Here is the address: 23550 Overland Dr. Sterling, VA 20166 Virginia BBQ will still be catering the event and there will still be a show, complete with awards, prizes, raffles, and music. If you intend to go, please re-RSVP to Ceece Coburn at Enforcir@gmail.com ASAP.

what the he**, another dang update PLEASE READ
So much for weather forecasts...
Anyway, wanted to pass on an update I received about today's event. The picnic is a definite GO since it is indoors at D&V and the caterer cannot move the date a second time. The show will be a last-minute decision on NVMC's part. It may or may not be put off to another day. So, come out in your vette if you want to or bring your beater/hooptie/van/truck/SUV/sedan/whatever to the picnic. Just come out and enjoy the FREE BBQ, music, entertainment, etc and have a good time. Laurie
