Unbelievable as it sounds, Florida Crown and Florida Citrus PCA regions have not filled their Drivers Ed run group at Daytona International Speedway. For anyone without a NASCAR team behind them, the chances to drive this awesome track are few and far between.

This track is host to the annual Rolex 24 and other races that use the entire playing field - oval and infield course - and is the same circuit that will be used for the PCA event. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed by the challenging infield and the exciting steeply-banked oval.

Helpful information:
·THIS EVENT IS NOT LIMITED TO PORSCHES! Yes, you can drive your Mustang/Nissan/Corvette/BMW/Audi/etc.
·Advanced solo drivers only.
·Dates are October 9-11. Register for three fun-filled days or the 2-day almost-as-fun option.

Corvettes owners from all over the northeast and farther will be meeting on the morning of Saturday, October 10, 2009. The initial meeting place will be The Farley Plaza near mile marker 20 on the Atlantic City Expressway. The Toy Run will leave Farley Plaza at 12:00 noon for the drive to Exit 2 of the Atlantic City Expressway where Kerbeck will have refreshments, door prizes and lot of more fun!

All we ask is that everyone brings one (or more!) new, un-wrapped toy. If the toys you bring require batteries, please purchase the batteries as well and tape them to the outside of the box.

The Good Samaritan Council #6175 Knights of Columbus in Sterling, Virginia has invited the Northern Virginia Corvette Club to participate in their 28th Annual Columbus Day Parade. Each year they host a hometown and patriotic parade on the Saturday before Columbus Day. The parade this year will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 10AM.

We need to meet between 9-9:30 AM at Park View High School on 400 West Laurel Avenue in Sterling VA.

I am also looking to organize a brunch or lunch afterward for those interested.
