There will be a meeting on Sunday, January 23rd at 1 PM to discuss the NVCC Jefferson HPDE driving school at Summit Point in June. This meeting will be open to all club members that will be involved with the school or are willing to help out. I encourage as many club members as possible to attend. There have been several club members putting a lot of time and effort in putting this school together for the other club members benefit for high speed certification. We as a club need your support and input to make this be as sucsessful as possible for everyone in the club. Participation is a main ingredient for success. I will send a e-mail out to members with directions to my house for the meeting.

Did you send an email out? I haven't seen one yet... don't know if I'm not getting club emails or what

Alright Guys & Gals, not very many people are responding to the call! I still haven't heard from a couple of our gear heads.

Mike W., Zoel, anybody heard from them?

Also, on another note I just heard on WTOP that Saturday is looking like 4+ in snow. I do not have a problem with continuing on with the show. However, I am not the one traveling to my house. If you want me to post a alternitive date I will just in case. I will also pick anyone up that needs a ride if they want. I need you people to chime in and let me know your thoughts. Dead lines are nearing, and we realy need to get this show on the road.

Yeah, the weather channel is predicting Wintery Mix on Sunday on top of the snow on Saturday also.

...and you are out in the boonies where they don't do the roads right away aren't you. [:p] [:D]

If you want to plan it by ear that fine also. We don't need anyone getting hurt. Just be thinking about a back up date for this meeting if it doesn't happen. Like I said if you all want to continue on with the meeting that's cool. I f anyone needs a ride I'm able to do that also.

Lets see how else checks in here. Ralph, Woodsie and myself have 4 wheel drives. Jim is out where it is probably going to hit hardest and I'm not sure what Andrej has done about a 2nd vechicle yet.

If everyone checks in we could always arrange to make a drop dead date of Friday, even Saturday if it gets bad.

Next Tuesday is the GBM right?

Yes next Tuesday is the GBM.
As long as its less than 6" of snow I can get most anywhere. Besides I'll be using Interstate most of the way (I81 & I66)

I can borrow an easel with a whiteboard and some markers if you think we could use it for the meeting.

Welllllllllllllllllll....I don't have a second vehicle and I live in Centreville so I don't know how that's gonna shake out. I don't drive LilRed in the snow...and I especially now don't need to have any more body damage to fix.

Additionally the hub just called and the Bimmer has been hit this morning so that's two cars in the shop. If I had my rental already I'd have no problem but I don't get it until Monday, after the meeting. [:(]

What to do???

George,

Zoel plans to be at the meeting on Sunday. Not sure yet if I'll be able to make it. Hopefully the weather won't be a factor.

OK, listening to the TV (A stupid start to begin with) several stations are saying the snow should be out of here by Saturday evening. So for now I still plan on having the meeting. We have alot of buisness to go over, and really need to get the information out asap. If for any reason someone feels uncomfortable with driving in snow let me know. If you don't want to drive, and live within a reasonable distance but still want to come I will gladly pick you up, or will arrange to have you picked up. If the response is overwelming we can postpone the meeting. However keep in mind that time is starting to run short.

Attention All! The meeting scheduled for today (Sunday, January 23rd at 1PM is STILL ON!) [=D>] [=D>]

I was at work yesterday and we got about 4 inches. Picked the kids up last night and went driving around for about 2 hours and the roads seem to be in pretty good shape. All the main roads are clear. Some of the back raods were a little slippery. Just be careful. If you do not feel comfortable driving that is understandible. For those how are wondering, the roads aren't exactly corvette roads today. Once the sun comes up we will be fine.

Zup,

I'll be there and am bringing Stewart with me. If any one else wants to carpool, I have room for three more in back.

Good Deal!

I've already been out this morning, and most of the roads are either wet or completely dry. Some of the residential roads have a little snow on them, but ither than that everything is good.
