Yes, already spoke to James about that, he's gonna look into booking the park for somewhere in June/July. These places book up fast! And...I want all the event dates firm and everything ready to go this year... [B-)]

Kool beans! I can live with that.

It would be great if Brad could find a 'calendar' app that could be run on the web site... Select the month and all the events show up by day at a glance.

Event: Spring Skyline Cruise
Date: 2005-04-30, Saturday
Time: 07:30 AM- 03:00 PM
Contact: Laurie Kistner
E-mail: lilredcorvette94@yahoo.com
Starting Point: 14120 Lee Highway, Centreville, VA 20120

Description: Corvette Forum's Jim Strathearn is again sponsoring this year's Spring Skyline Drive Cruise on Saturday, April 30th, 2005.

For those that remember past Skyline Cruises, we always have a blast! Spring Skyline 2004 attendance was over 100 'vettes!!! Fall Skyline 2004 had over 200 'vettes...the event keeps growing and growing each year.

This cruise is typically an informal cruise. In the past, we have taken up voluntary collections for specific charities such as the Chip Miller Charitable Foundation. Spring 2005 will benefit Blue Ridge Hospice, who took care of the final journey for a Corvette Forum member who died on Christmas Eve of liver cancer. Registration will be a $10.00 donation to Blue Ridge Hospice, payable at the cruise start point in Front Royal, Virginia. Here's the forum post for more info on both the charity and the cruise:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=1014925

Additionally, the entry fee to get into the park (good for 7 consecutive days) is $10.00 or you may purchase an annual pass, which is now $30.00.

We will meet at the Newgate Shopping Center parking lot (corner of Routes 28 and 29 in Centreville) at 7:30 AM, drivers' meeting at 7:45 AM, leaving at 8 AM SHARP! We should arrive at the Front Royal Chevy dealership at around 9:00 AM, where those organizing the cruise will begin distributing goodie bags and door prizes. We will then leave for the cruise at 10:30 AM with a police escort through town. Please bring your family radios!

Next, we will cruise directly to Brookside in Luray via US-340, where we will have lunch. During lunch we will try for a group picture. Lunch will be the same format as in the Fall Skyline Cruise; you may go inside and do the buffet or stay outside and do the BBQ. Once we finish lunch, we will head up US-211 into the park and regroup at Stony Man. If we have 200 cars or more, there will be contingencies in place for additional regrouping locations. After regrouping, we will head down to Big Meadows to use the facilities, exchange stories, take pictures, yada yada yada.

Andy Bolig from Corvette Enthusiast Magazine has come to past Skyline cruises and may be there again to take pictures and write another article on our infamous event!

Please register here, on the events tab, or e-mail me at lilredcorvette94@yahoo.com ONLY if you wish to join the Centreville caravan to the cruise starting location.

Directions: Newgate Shopping Center is conveniently located at the intersection of Routes 28 and 29 in Centreville. It is also accessible via Route 66 exit number 53A. We will meet in the parking lot that faces Route 28.

*Take Route 66 to Exit 53A.

*Take Route 28 South

*Take Route 29 South

*Take first right off of exit into the Newgate parking lot.
