Spook 2005

I've been emailed by the NCCC guvn'r of FSCC regarding switching the current Spook 05 date of 10/15-16 to 10/1-2. Seems that OC is asking them to switch their date for the Corvette Ocean City event from the first weekend of Oct (where they have traditionally had it) to that of the third weekend.

Summit Point has us penciled in for both weekends now, and as soon as FSCC gets back to me, we'll know when our Spook is next year.

Also, we are penciled for June 20 on Jefferson Circuit, our Driving School!

That sounds good to me, maybe we'll have a good chance for another nice weather weekend for Spook if it's the earlier October weekend! [B-)] What does everyone else think?

I think we should be ok either way. I just have to check my fall race season for the triathlons, and days of torture. [;)]

I thought Spook was booked for the Oct. 8 - 9 weekend (Columbus Day on Monday 10th)? or were those dates not available?

I like having Columbus day to recuperate on but the 1st weekend is just as good as any other.

That weekend is available, but SCCA is running on the big track then. They have an agreement with Summit Point that if someone else is using Jefferson Circuit that weekend, they have to run only in the counterclockwise direction.

I like running both directions on the two days, so I'd like to have the track when SCCA doesn't have the big circuit.

Works for me either way, I was just curious. Actually not having the event on the Columbus Day weekend allows us to celebrate our Canadian Thanksgiving. Don't want to miss out on the turkey, eh!

A. I know it is early but with everyone working to get their hi speed license in June I thought I would update the Spooktacular page announcement. I changed the dates to Oct 1 and 2, is that OK?
Also we going to use the same hotel. What help would you like. And did you note that Porsche people are running on the the big track so we may only be able to run one way again!

Yes, the Spook date is officially Oct 1/2 this year!

I haven't gotten to the hotel yet, but if it's ok with everyone, we'll use the Townhouse in Charlestown.

I'd like to sit down and have a strategy session, say in June. Have all the specialty chiefs together to discuss the proposed format.

We can run both directions if the Porsche club is on the main circuit. We can run in one direction only if it's SCCA on the main track.

I should be getting the contracts soon from SP.
