I'm about ready to pull the engine out of my '72 LT1. I want to have it rebuilt, but don't know where to take it. Does anyone have experience with local machine shops or speed shops? I've talked to Performance Speed Shop near FFX circle and C and C in Manassas. I'd appreciate any recommendations.

Thanks,
Dick

Kensen Automotive used to be really good and still might be. Also, I know the guy John Sealock of Woodbridge Dynotech has a guy he uses and he is awsome. Mike Sarver had his motor done with this guy.

John Sealock, Woodbridge DynoTech uses C&C in Manassass to do his machine work.

John's been having them do his work for a long time. They do stay busy so you might have to schedule it in.

another guy you might want to contact:

Lee Edwards, Jr.
Old Weaversville Rd
CALVERTON, VA 20119
540-788-4210 Shop
540-788-4820 Home

He spends his life building racing engines, mostly drag, an if you can get him, he's one of the best on the East coast. He'll also recommend other shops for whatever specialty work you're looking for if he can't get to it. And he's EXTREMELY particular...

I recommend HP Works in Colonial Beach, VA 804-214-9063
They have a complete machine shop, a DynoJet and lots of experience. They do carbureted engines, but are great at EFI tuning, too.
