Joe/anybody,
My A/C and heat controls are possessed by demons. If I try to turn the temp down it goes up instead or doesn't change at all. Also, if I try to turn it off it stays on and vice versa. No matter how hard you press it just doesn't have an effect. Obviously something is broken back there...but what?
So...what part(s) do I need to order in so I can make another appointment at Koons for you to fix this beast??? Thanks in advance.

I had this problem in my 89. It was the HVAC door controller. There is a motor either electric or vacuum operated that controls whether you get heat or A/C.
I know Joe will know he fixed my 89

1 - You need a new head unit and
2 - Joe does not have access to the internet right now. [:((]

Ack, that sux...about the no internet access thing.
Is that what it's called specifically? If so I gotta start my pricing frenzy. I live for online shopping.

the head unit went bad on my one 89 - back in 1992, it was a warranty item so I have no idea on cost [B-)]

Sorry Folks, Been having some PUTER. probs... Fixed now..... Anyway It sounds like your heater/ac control head has seen better days. The only way to get one (I think) is through the dealer. It's going to be a reman. unit. Because they stopped making new ones about 8 years ago. But I have had only 1 maybe 2 probs. with them in the last 6 or 7 years.
