Mike, I found out some information on 12" orange cones, and fire extinguishers. We can get the cones for $4.25 each, and the 20 pound extinguishers for $115.70 each plus have them serviced each year. Your going to need that from a safety stand point. I will bring the information with me to the meeting next week.

Sounds good on the cones. The fire extinguishers sound expensive but I haven't ever priced any so I don't know. We can take a look at it at the meeting.

For 20 pounders that's a good price. Especialy if you have a problem with them they come rite out and take care of them for you. Other places I checked were anywhere from $125.00 to $135.00 and that didn't count support if you needed it.

Is this local? What are we doing now with regards to maint. on the ones we have? Is there other safety equipment the club should be looking into?

There is no maint on the ones we currently have. That is one of the problems. Two of them went off in the back of my pickup because they were put in without the safety keys in place.
Now they are partially discharged and aren't any good until serviced.
Yes, at a minimum we need a good sized first aid kit. Also a bag of "oil dry".

Actually a few bags may be in line...and yes to the first aid kit...we need to get that before another race event. AS to the fire extinguishers...I'd say this is a great time to start a "check list" we can post somewhere in the trailor that lists things like that...checking pressure, last date checked, etc.
