Just got home and found the first email comment from the MWCSCC news groups.
That was one of the most fun courses I've run at Rosecroft. I'd love
to have another go at it another day when it's dry.
I scanned the map for those who didn't attend:
http://www.uncontrived.com/autox_maps/10-24_map.gif
The only big difference from the map and the actual course was the 2nd skidpad was much more of an oval, giving incentive to late apex the last bend and make the exit into a fast straight. The finish gate was at an angle off to the side, but the map shows the gist of the element.
The end of the first straight was a river... it was pretty dang fun.
Hell, driving in the rain is fun. Kudos to the Vette club. It was
very well organized, and they had staging lights :).
Considering the long hours and all of the other adverse conditions (parking lot condition, weather, etc.) I think we did a great job.
Thanks to everyone that helped make this event a success.
Starting to run the numbers... If anyone is interested we ran 390 runs today. for all cars.

Yeah, right now I'm tired but we had a great day! I think we did real good for all the cool and wet weather. We got compliments at the track too, and I appreciated them all.
We all need to give ourselves a collective pat on the back for the group effort!

Hey Zoel, great driving today and thanks for the ride! I enjoyed it. [:D]
One small piece of bad news... I just audited the results and your FTD didn't hold up. Sean King in SM2 (the guy in the yellow 'vette that had 7 runs {3 reruns} ran a best of 56.447). He beat you out for FTD by 0.146 seconds. [:(]

Andrew & I had a lot of fun out there today. I'm glad that Jim put him to work, and kept him buisy. Woodsie! He's talking in his sleep about the ride you gave him. [:))] I shot 447 pictures so it is going to take a little time to edit them out, and touch them up. Then I will post them. We were exhausted when we got home. Eat, Hot tub, BED! iIn that order. [:D] Great job everyone! Looking forward to the next one!

George no problem. First, thanks for taking the pictures, you truely have a talent....minus the one of me sleeping in my chair. I really enjoyed giving Andrew a ride. You know If I was ten years old and got a ride in a fast car. I would turn in to a gearhead at an early age. Wait a minute thats what happened. [:D]

Whewwww That was fun.
But man am I tired. Backs of my knees and my back are still tlaking to me. Glad everyone had fun at the event.
George, Andrew did a great job helping out! Glad he got a ride with a fast car.
Autocrossing the Dodge only makes me want to get another Corvette more. Trying to make that front wheel drive turn was not pretty, especially when the tires flexed and it went around the turns on the sidewalls [:O] [:O] .
Oh well, thats why its a beater with over 190K miles

I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling it today. I need to take a day off just to recover. [:((]

Yea, the back is a little stiff this morning. I think it was due to the cool, damp conditions though.

In that case, I'm glad I stayed in yesterday in PJs watching DVDs. [:D] Still getting over an infection. Antibiotics suck azz!
Glad everyone had a good day (esp. Andrew getting his fast ride at age 10!) Got my first ride in a vette when I was 8 and have been hooked since. Woodsie is right, it's very easy to get sucked in.
George, you better save up some $ for the vette fanatics in your family! [:p] [;)]
I'll see all you gearheads this Sunday to watch the HS.

Thanks Eric, I think it will be.
I think most of us decided to run in the last heat since we were going to be there all day anyhow.
Personally I was so tired by the time the 4th heat came around that I didn't feel like taking the car off the trailer to run. [:(]

I know whatyou mean Mikey! I just got through editing the pictures. 3-1/2 hours worth of editing! [b-(] [@-)] [b-(] [@-)] I need to get with you tomarrow night with the # of no shows, and car #s. I just want to make sure that I got everyone before I start posting them. [:)] I shot 477 pictures total. I have it edited down to 1 per car for posting though.

I know what you mean there. I've been auditing the timing results. Once that is finished it needs to be converted and imported into the MWCSCC's regular timing software.

Then we need to figure out the trophies and stuff also.

Yeah, it definitely keeps you on your toes and it produces its own kind of adrenaline rush just trying to make sure everything comes off right.

Hey, nothing wrong with that! You can always get another one. [;)]
It would be kool running the BMW one autocross and the vette the next. [:D]

I think the best thing about the event was being able to talk to the drivers out there...I know it changed my perspective of alot of them, and I hope changed thiers about us vetters as well. These are guys who are doing what they can with what they got. A few of them I talked about ODS and our Spook event, and they definitely seemed to be interested in doing some things with us.
Great job all...even if I did nap through part of it :)

I do have a couple of ideas I want to run by you. What time are you going to be at the meeting tonight? If you come early we can discuss them then.

If the weather stays clear I will. Remember I wanted to go straight home last month because I didn't want to be drinking and driving in the rain?
I got hit in the azz-end while I was stopped at a stop light of all things.
