Greetings! I need someone to make my 76 L82 roadworthy. It's been gathering dust in the garage for a couple years. Do you do this type of work? If so, do I go thru Koons to make the service appointment? I'll need to have it towed there on a flatbed. It's one of those cars that's been in the rain less than 5 times, so I'll presumably need a cover while it awaits The Genius' Hand

Or, if someone on the forum wants to buy it as is....

How long has it been sitting? Normally if the car has been sitting awhile. I would recommend checking/changing all the fluid levels, charge the battery, remove spark plugs, squirt some oil in all the cylinders, let sit. Turn the motor over by hand on the front of the crank. Clean/Regap install spark plugs and hope fo the best.

Good luck

I'll be happy to take a look at the ol' girl. Give Bill Appel a call at 703-448-7206 to set up a time that is good for you. By the way how much are you asking and what options does it have. I don't have a vette myself I may be intrested. If you'd like E-mail me direct at jpmc381@yahoo.com

Hard to remember when it was last out. VA inspection died in 99. Recall having it out once in 2000, maybe again 2001. Antique tags on it now. I'll give Joe a shout. Might make a nice winter project for him [:)]
