I can't make it. The MWCSCC event is the next day and I've got to get the final touches down for that.
It would be good if a least a couple of people from the club made it there.
How tight are the (NHRA) Rules (enforced @ tech for each speed bracket)?
I was at E- Town 2 weeks ago and was asked to "not bring the car back" as it ran too fast for its lack of safety belts (harness) and no rollbar or fire jacket...
I know a month ago at the All Corvette Day, the rule book was pretty much tossed aside, as there was a convertible running in the 10's w/ out much (safety) equipment at all...
Just wondering...
Thanks [B-)]

You'll have to ask Ceece (mailto:Enforcir@cox.net) I'm not sure if it is NHRA or IHRA. I don't think any of us have been asked not to bring the car back though.

It is an NHRA track - therefore the cars running quicker than 11.99 (second pass) would need the equipment I mentioned...
Sometimes though, that gets overlooked if it is a "rental day" at the track [;)]
It is a long drive for one pass [:(]

Convertables running in the 11's need a rollbar and the driver needs a helmet. No harness or fire suits are required in the 11's.
...what about a coupe in the 10's ??? [:-/] [:D]

I noticed in the times listed on the flyer, the event runs from 4p.m. until 8 p.m. - Is this a mis-print??????? [:-/]
The reason I ask, The track day at Capitol, I thought was at least 6 or 7 hours of the day - Is there an earlier event that precludes us from running earlier in the day???
We are looking at "Testing & Tuning" a car that would require a bit more than 4 hours of running to gather the info -
Please let me know the schedule A.S.A.P. - Thanks [B-)]

Nope. Not a misprint. They are racing under the lights.

Good deal [B-)]
I went to their drag pages and saw there is also a "Test & Tune" set up for 11am - 4pm so you could get 9 hours of racing in!!! [:D]
A friend of mine from PA might be interested in bringing his Corvette down - he just had some work done to it and sounds like he wants to see what she will do [;)]
The flyer said open to ALL Corvettes, right???
- Thanks [:)]

...talking with my brother (a Mustang guy), he said about 40 cars were there & racing - about how many were Vettes??
(he said he didn't pay attention to that [;)] )
I am thinking of heading out to this - but not if there isn't many other Vettes, sorry - not a phord guy... [>:)]
