Joe, great job with the vararam and the headers. I was grinning from ear to ear driving home - man what a difference these made. Again thanks for doing a great job. From now on I will be bringing my vette to you for service etc.

Lets get that Vette on a Chassis Dyno and see how much more Horsepower you got.

That's right, we haven't had a NVCC dyno day this year! We should try and set up a dyno day at Woodbridge DynoTech if we can get 6 or 7 people interested in dynoing their cars.

A dyno day in November should turn some real nice numbers [:D]

He sure is. He did a bunch of work for me yesterday. Thank you, Joe! I don't know what I'd do without ya...

YES! I really need to do this. What's the cost?

I can't remember the cost off the top of my head but John gives us a good discount if we have at least 6 cars. Woodsie might remember what the cost is though.

Unless John Sealock bought it in the past couple of months, he doesn't have the software to dyno 03 and 04 Vettes. I encountered this problem during the summer months when I took my Vette to him to work on. He said he didn't get enough late model Vettes there to justify the expense.

Suggest someone check that out. There are other places available other than John's place.

He doesn't have the software to dyno them or he doesn't have the software to dyno tune them?

I was under the impression that it only required a hardware connection to the car's computer to dyno it.

{not trying to be a jerk, just curious.}

Guess that won't affect me anyway though, I have a C4...

Can someone (Woodsie?) chime in here on John's cost to do 6/7 'vettes on a dyno day? I am assuming that he would just be dyno testing them rather than dyno testing and tuning them?

That's correct, no tuning just pulls {testing}.

Absolutely. Lets do it. If John Sealock does not have the software, there is another shop in Gaithersburg that I believe has a dyno. Its called Tony's Corvette. I will call them and find out if they are fullly operational.

I'll call John and get a price for 6-10 cars. I think 10 is the max for one day. We normally have just a Baseline, no tuning. The baseline will give you a starting point on where your car is. Believe it or not it can also find problems. Like why does my LT4 383 put out only 200 hp? I went through something simular and ended up with 409 RWHP in the GS. [:)] Of course thats with 30 pulls and alot of $$$$$. Of course John saves your data for future reference.

Can you do me a favor and also get pricing for a dyno tune. Thanks

Sorry if you misunderstood, Mike. Clearly John Sealock has the dyno operation software or he couldn't run his dyno. I thought it was pretty clear that I was referring to his tuning software.

Sealock uses LS1 Edit and doesn't have the multi-VIN software license for 2003 and 2004. That means he can't read your PCM -- unless you bring your own software.

Not sure if he uses any other programming tools other than LS1 Edit but I don't think he does. That's why I had to buy it when he tried to tune my car.

Ok he's what we have. Less than 5 cars $65.00 3 pulls base line. 6 or more $60.00. We need to pick which weekend in Nov. when everyone wants to go. YellowVette, MagRed is correct John does not have the Software for 03/04. He uses LT1/LT4 edit and LS1/LS6 edit up to 01 or 02. So your tuning would have to be done elsewhere. Tuning normally is $75-$100 an hour which includes Wideband 02's and the chassis dyno. I will start a POST.

Woodsie-

Count my car in for this. Thank you for taking the time to look into this further for us.

Here's what's available on the club calendar for a weekend dyno event:

Sat. 11/6
Sun. 11/14* NVCC/NVMC event possible
Sat. 11/20
Sun. 11/21* NVCC/NVMC event possible

I dunno if anyone would want Sat. 11/27 or Sun. 11/28 as that is Thanksgiving weekend.

Note to Paul...can we get a committment from Ceece one way or another on the brunch event so we can get the November calendar more solid? Thanx...
