Yeah...that makes two of us Laurie [:))] I had a freaking blast and I wanted to give a shout out to all the talented drivers that provided this newbie with advice and technical know how. Especially to Ralph who on turn 1...convinced me I need serious time on the track and lessons to boot! Too much fun...till next time. [=D>]

Ditto that...it was a total blast. I can see how this is going to be very addictive! The most fun I've ever had...easily.

Thanks to everyone for their encouragement, advice, and offers of technical help...especially Mike Sarver, Mike Woods, Mike Geyer, Ralph Watts, Jim Anderson...this club RAWKS!

Well, I tried like heck to get Geyer. Actually too hard, I hit cones on every run. The Hoosiers are just a bit to worn to make three laps clean. I kept hitting the turn two cone, I did not want to give up the speed in the turns. Geyer had too much straight line speed so I needed to be faster in the turns. I'm sure the guys/gas working turn 2 and 3 got some pretty interesting visuals with me trying to keep the Vette goin straight.

1 minute 20 seconds at ODS ain't bad at all. I remember those days well. Keep practicing and you'll be down below 70 seconds before you know it!

Glad you had a good time, sorry I didn't get there till the end of the fun runs. Don't forget about the parking lot autoxes. Flat and usually 1st gear stuff, but a new course to memorize every time. A cheap way to figure out what your car can do too!

Absolutely and they add up to more "seat time" In fact check out the thread http://www.nvcorvetteclub.com/mvnforum/mvnforum/viewthread?thread=737

The NVCC is hosting this event and there are still slots open in the first and fourth heats. It will give you a chance to see what a parking lot event is like and we could use the help with course setup, etc. if you want to help out {shameless plug}. [;)]

Also, I forgot to mention that we are buying pizza for the event workers {course setup/teardown, tech inspection, safety and registration & timing}.

Yeah, it was funny to watch. George no sooner set the cone back up in turn two and you came around and knocked it over again! Meanwhile, myself and another girl were getting attacked by bees out there. Definitely an interesting day!

While I do need lots of seat time and such, I'm gonna pass on the parking lot autoXs, at least for now. I'm not gonna overdo it with events, I need to be able to keep pace with the auto maintenance costs. So for now I'm gonna save LilRed for the oval, my favorite autoX event. [:)]
