Here are the basic details.
We are putting on a MWCSCC (http://www.autocrossers.com) autocross event at Rosecroft raceway on October 24th.
This is a parking lot autocross. It will consist of 4 heats, 35 entrants per heat and 4 runs per entrant. Cost is $25.00
You can go to http://www.autocrossers.com/cgi-bin/SLZR1_lineup.pl to get an idea of the basic heat setup. If everything works out registration for this event will open 8:00pm this Sunday.
The primary areas for this event are:
Tech
Safety
Course Design
Registration
Timing
Zoel and Wanda Robinson, James Anderson, Andrej Balanc and myself are the principles for these areas. We do need workers to help with these duties. Entrants will provide corner workers so we don't need those.
The event itself will run from 8:00 - 5:00 but we will need to be there by 6:00am to start setup (course, tents, timing, etc.)
The purpose of putting on this event is twofold. One, to bring some additional funds into the NVCC coffers for autocross functions (trailer, support, track rentals, etc.) Two, to get the NVCC recognised more within the metro area automobile enthuisiasts. (we are hoping this will tie in with our other events, Spooktacular, American Iron, etc.)
This is a call both for workers and entrants. I realize that 0600 is mighty early to be showing up to work but that is when we will need most of the support. I would really like to have about 6 more workers. If you can find the time to support us I would appreciate it.
