It was one of the best turnouts we have had in a long time. We had 16 cars, 14 Corvettes, 1 Miata and 1 Mustang.

Sure was. Marsha now has the record for the least number of miles on a new car before autocrossing it. I think she had around 250 or something. [;)]

Exactly! I don't mind wringing it out with no miles on it but I sure don't want the demo that the "shop kids" have been bustin' on and every fool has ground the gears in.

Apparently not. And it never hurt mine. I think I drove mine for 2 days before the auto-x ... and a year and a half later and 4,500 miles (mostly on the track) it absolutely runs awesome.

I picked my 90 Camaro up from the docks in Germany with less then 10 miles on the odometer. Took it out on the autobahn. 100 miles later had it doing 110mph. Car ran like a top and never used a drop of oil.
