Hi, Joe I am considering putting a Vararam system on my 2000 C5. Would Koons install such a system if I provided the part and how much would it cost to install?

Thanks

I cant speak for Joe (and of course they will do it...money is money afterall!), But I dont know if I'd go with that or the other systems....which I think are just as effective, and a HELL of alot easier to install....

Thanks for the response. What system would you recommend. The K&N?

Thats what I have in mine...all told what...$550 or so with the rammer? Another member on here installed his during a shop night....was a nightmare...but then again, it was the first time we had all installed the system.

Your call :) I dont really think one is better than the other, although you'll see a 1000 claims saying differently. I guess it's all up to the person making the purchase.

Great. Thanks for the info. I might just have Joe install it.

I was the one that did the installation. I left my power rachet/driver set at home and had to do the install with a non-powered set. Oh, I also did the install pretty much by myself. One guy was nice enough to hold the top of the intakes while I tightened the bottom bolts. Much easier with two people. The only good thing about that night was having the hoist. I can't imagine doing that install on a set of ramps. [:((] [:((] [:((]

If you do this install by yourself, expect to spend 4 hours. With a friend (particularly one who has done the install before), it'll probably take you less than an hour and one-half.

The Vararam system is a very good system but it is not all that easy to install. Although it is one of the few systems that give a ram air set up with out cutting the fan shroud. What ever system you want to go with I'll be more than happy to install at the shop.
Price wise contact Bill Appel at 703-448-7206 and he can tell you. I fix them he handles the rest
