LOL! Well, Todd isn't too keen on the racing stuff...lately his 'thang' has been paintball, shooting guns at NRA, and playing poker with the boys. Whatever makes him happy!

So were John's but all that drifting he was doing wore the outer edge almost to the cords. [:D]
That's one more good reason to go with Kumhos, safety. They have 6 ply tread (2 steel, 2 rayon and 2 nylon) and 3 ply sidewalls. If you unknowingly happen to get into the cords during a long session they will hold up longer then a regular 4 ply tire.
I've seen Rick Poage come in from Summit after an especially heavy session only to find major portions of the cords showing through.

A method used by SCCA to level the playing field between different brands and classes. It is a multiplier that set for each class.
Multiply the first driver's raw time by the class PAX index to get their Index time. So if Laurie ran a 69.734 and she was in AS then multiply that time by 0.828 or 57.740.
Then do the same for Paul who ran a 68.987 by 0.839 for BSP. His PAX time would be 57.880.

Supposedly it makes everyone's times appear better. That's why Andrej says "...PAX indices are for p_ssies... "
You would probably be in GS for your Mustang which has a PAX of 0.781
So if you ran a 71.329 in the same event with Laurie and Paul above, your PAX time would be 55.708

This may matter for SCCA classification, but last time I checked we are still running under NCCC classifications. That mod is OK for a C4 running in "1G".

Thanks for the complement. Being an old timer in the club, I have seen huge improvements in everyones driving. I remember Ralph W. first time on that track at ODS between turn 2 and 3. I was the AutoX chair at the time and to see someone loop there car on the straight, Man I thought he had the guard rail. Its all about seat time!!!! learning to feel the car, anticipating what the car is doing and going to do before you get there. I'm sure Ralph knows on the oval when the track flattens out you must unload the steering just alittle or it WILL oversteer at speed.
