Erica & I had so much fun setting up the German dinner cruise that we are pondering the Idea of possible setting up a overnight cruise next spring/ealy summer. I have a couple of ideas for this but I would like to get an idea of people that might be interested in something like this? If you are interested put something on this post, and if there is enough interest I will pursue it to the next step.

I really like the idea of a mystery cruise where you don't know where you are going but are told to bring certain items and a specified amount of cash.
I would think they would be at least an overnight cruise if not a weekend cruise.
I say go for it! [:D]

Sounds like fun. You'd better check with Jim B, as he was thinking about setting up something like this too...
You can count me in for two! [:D]

Sounds like fun! As Andrej mentioned Jim B. is checking out a couple of things for a 'Get-away' weekend. We have done this in Canada with Corvettes Unlimited and the hosts (usually one couple) would set up a weekend get-away and just let everyone know approximately how much money you would need and any other important details (maybe dress for a special event). Everyone would have a place to meet and then follow the hosts to the Surprise Destination. We have had some great times with these get-aways. An example of a couple places we been is a mountain resort, and a small bed/breakfast (11 rooms) that had a small golf course nearby as well as a dinner theatre for the evening entertainment. It's a great idea.

Thanks for the imput on this guys, and ladies [:D] . I really like the idea of a mystery cruise. I could get real creative on that one! [:D] I will kick a few ideas aroung in my head, and maybe bring it up at one of the meetings in the near future to see what kind of interest I can spark up. The one thing I would probably need imput on is price ranges people, or couples would want to look at on one of these things. I would like to do it in a classy manner, but not in a way that may offend anyone or price people out. If you would rather e-mail me that information in private thats ok with me too. It would give me a good idea what I need to work with, or if you trust me [:-"] [:-"] [:-"] I'll just put it together and throw it out there. [:O] [:O] [:O]

George,
The Robinsons and Beaupres have been talking this up as they have done many of these "mystery" cruises in Canada. Maybe we can the three couples together and plan one for early Novemebr??? [:)]

Jim,
Sounds good to me. I really would like to work with someone on this one. My only problem is that I just found out that I will be going in for back surgury sometime this month, and will have somewhat of a recovery time. I'm game on the idea though! Maybe we could do one in the fall, then set up one in late spring also. Some of the ideas that I have been throwing around are kind of suited for the spring/summer time frame, but maybe can combine recources and come up with a better plan that way we would have more of a taste of what everyone would enjoy. If all goes well on this maybe we could make it somewhat of an semi-annual event.

George,
Sorry to hear about the upcomming surgery. What are you having done? I had anterior cervical fusion 2 yrs ago, and the recovery was a witch. If you (or Erica) need any help while you recover, just ask!

Thanks Jenny,
Just a sports related injury nothing major. A herniated disc w/a couple of fragments pinching off a nerve in the leg. Got a good team of docs that deal with these type of injuries all the time. I guess the 15,000 meters of swimming, 300 miles on the bike, and the 60 to 80 miles a week running on average takes it's toll after a couple of years. Doc promised me that I would be ready for next race season though.

Sorry to hear about your upcoming surgery. I just found out as well that I might hafta go back in for yet ANOTHER foot surgery! Awaiting MRI results as we speak about another defect in the same foot. I told doc AFTER autoX season was over with, I'll consider it.
Going in for a minor outpatient surgery/procedure this coming Friday, but it should be really simple.
Dayam! Too many surgeries going on in the NVCC...[:((]

Yea I know what you mean. I truly feel for you Laurie. [:(] I have been fortunate in that matter though. I'm rite at 40 years old, and this is the first time I have gone under the knife so to speek. It's actually pretty frustrating because I've never had an injury I couldn't work out, or rub a little dirt on and continue on. Good luck this week though, I hope all goes well for you.

George,
Don and I would definitely be interested in this. [:))] June is usually pretty busy for us but other than that if we are free, we think it's a great idea. I go to Nashville every June for Fan Fair (CMA Music Festival). This year late June or early July we are going with the Wellers to the NCM in BG to pick up their C6. Other than that . . . .
Mystery sounds good too. [B-)] We are not fussy and like it when someone else plans a trip for us (for a change). When we visit friends in other states and they ask us what we want to do we just say - - whatever you think. It's nice not to have to think about it!! [:p]
