Annual Club Picnic

A great turn-out from the club as well as decent weather for *most* of the day (thank God for picnic shelters). Nice to see everyone out enjoying the weather, food, and lovely 'vettes.

A big thank you to Andrej for cooking all the burgers and dogs in the sweltering heat, to George for taking club photos, as well as to everyone who brought food or contributed supplies and/or help in some way. This could never be pulled off without the help of club members.

Thanks again, and hope all had a good time.

Agreed. I was actually happy to be rained on a bit. Darn August heat!

Next year I am hoping we can have the picnic earlier, like May or June, when maybe it isn't so oppressively hot.

Everyone had a great time!!! Didn't think I was going to make it back on 28. The clue was the VW floating on the side of the road at Waxpool [:))] . Odd enough though when we got to Centerville there was a 1/2 mile stretch that was dry then it opened up again. I'm working on the pictures and need someone to send them to to post them. Don't have access yet. [:D] [:D] [:D]

I agree, the picnic was great fun. There were a lot of good looking vettes there especially the red 1961. Nice idea to have to guess the names on our backs it was a good way to break the ice. Based on the heat any ice was good.
