The C5R is at it again! They took 1st and 3rd in class, and 4th overall this weekend out at Infineon raceway [=D>] [=D>] [=D>] . This week they had their share of problems though. As everyone probably seen Dale Earnhardt Jr. was in a very scary accident where the car basicly exploded with him in it! The car spun out in one of the turns and hit the wall creating a gas leak that ignited. Though he suffered only minor injuries to his legs & chin the inboard camera had some incredible shots. On a good note; Ron Fellows won the GTS class for the 4th year in a row. That is a AMS record for consecutive wins at a single venue. [=D>] [=D>] [=D>]

I'm glad Ron picked up his 4th straight win and he's got a nice healthy lead for the championship. What happened to Gavin and Beretta? I was surprised to see them beaten by a number of GT cars but also by the Lambo.

Did the Lambo run that much better this time or did something happen to the Saleen also? It seems the GTS Ferraris are picking and choosing the races they want to run in very carefully.

The Lambo was running well behind them. At the time Gavin was leading GTS and as Gavin was passing, the Lambo closed the door and Gavin had nowhere to go. He tore off the entire front end and had to have it replaced as well as having the wheels realigned. After all that, he still came in fourth! Shortly after that, the Lambo driver did the same thing to another driver ( I forget which, but I think it was the lead GT Porche) but without causing damage that time. Pretty poor driving on the Lambo's part!

Somebody needs to teach him how to drive. Either that tell him ALMS isn't NASCAR. He did something very similar two weeks ago at LimeRock to a couple of the GT cars.

Now THAT is weird! Just when I thought we had figured out what was causing it and then it fixed itself. Definitely weird.
