I'm new to the forum world and am having fun with this one [:D] but my main problem is the ID's. I have no idea who "TDad" is, for instance.[:-/] Why don't people have their real names listed?[:O]

Judy,
I guess it's one of those 'geek' things. Forums were originated by computer 'geeks' and handles or nicknames (similiar to the handles used by CB'ers) were always used by the users.

Two different ways you can find out who you are talking to.

1. You can hit the username of the post author. This is a link that will show you the user's profile.

2. You can hit the User List link on the top of the page. That is a list of the registered users and their handles and email addresses.

If you do #2 above, the list will get real long as the number of users grow.

BTW... TDAD is George Skalkeas

[:)] Hope that answers your question [:)]

How come it says "stranger" under "J Patrick"?

That is a 'title' based on the number of posts you have. Some forums use stars or other symbols. I think 20 posts give you 'Newbie' and 40 give you 'Member'.

I think Mike's numbers are about right. I am considering changing it from "stranger" to "newbie" and changing the others as well.

Also. I can override your title if you want your council position there. Let me know.
