Ya know Friday night after a few beers and a whole bunch of bench racin' , the sun going down over the horse race track, the smell of the nearby pancake house... you can almost imagine the Townhouse as a place you would choose to stay at .... naaayhhhh!! [:))]

Being at the track and the companionship of fellow fanatics more than makes up for any slight lack of prestige in the accomodations. [:))] [:))]

WHAT got my attention is the "Spectacular Motel & Hunting Lodge" Now I dont know what you'all hunt down thar in OCT, but up here its grey squirrels only lol.....
My story is a simple one, a room on the right down past the office was given to me when you'lll were over by tech and the BEER!
I was munchin all the way down that day as its not just round the corner [:((] from me...
I left my munchies on the counter by the sink, and came over to the hospitality room for some of that PRIME bench racin and COLD beer, only to come back to my room to see the counter (which was white may I add) literally BROWN with them litte tiny ants...with my munchies in their jaws, and all kinda grinnin in a southern accent! [:O]
WELL I throw the remainder in the fridge to cool their jets and went to bed, throwing back the covers of my NON SMOKING Room and poked my big toe through a burn hole......at least I thought it was a burn hole [:-$]
But all in all, the old guys at the desk are the best bet for a laugh...."reservation ye say? Hmmmmmmm" [:))]

Let's just say the Town House Motor Lodge on rt 51 in Charles Town is not known for its many AAA star rating. Cheap, convienent, allow us to do tech on Friday night and kinda clean BUT .... let's just say a step above camping because at least you have private shower!!! [;)]

2 runs per event.
I think passengers were allowed for the parade lap and fun runs only.
Fun runs are Sunday after all events are complete

It looks like I'll get a reprieve from the roach motel this year as I'm staying at the prestigous Geyer Resort in Hamilton.

I guess I should probably clear it with his wife first though. [:D]

Actually, I haven't registered yet... my car is supposed to be put back together by the end of this month.

Yeah... Deb and I broke up this weekend, so it looks like I'm gonna have a lot of free time on my hands. After more than 3 years it looks like it just wasn't meant to be. [:(]

We are in good shape with well over 25% full. Way ahead of last year. If you remember we did not start until after the NCCC convention which was the third week of August! We will fill up!

I wonder if Andrej is compiling the data in a spreadsheet. Paul and I will need to get a copy (perferably electoronic) to load the registrations in the timing equipment.

It would be nice if registration and tech both had laptops for Friday night at the motel.

I must say, I spent all of what, a half an hour at the lovely <cough> Town House Motel and was thoroughly amazed by the hospitality suite. [:^o]

Those who remeber my time spent there will remember also that the person I came to visit, went all the way home to sleep that night. Some people are just too damn picky [;)] Or perhaps they're just scared of ants and what not. LOL! I want to be a pcae car this year...I swear I will be there this year to watch and party in the hospitality suite.
