As Saturday passes and I relax at home I still have this huge grin plastered to my face. Three good sessions today. Ralph, John Tribble, Rick Poage and I had a chance to chase each other around the track for a couple of laps during the last session.
It gets kind of interesting with 30+ cars on the track at once. Lots of different types of cars and performance levels. I got some good video of the last session and I think John Tribble did also.
I'll try to get some more tomorrow and cut a couple of .mpgs if anyone is interested in seeing them.

Wasn't able to catch it. It was going on while we were on track. Gals in bikinis on pedistals trying to knock each other off with pugil sticks. (big broomsticks with heavy cloth ends)

Was it Fun? Yes and no, I had to run HPDE 2 but I did get signed off to HPDE 3. So the next time I'm goin to run with the Big boys.
About the cars the Z06 rear suspension broke at 140 mph, that was fun. The car stepped out side ways when I hit the brake in turn 1. I was in Competition mode when it happened and I do not think I could have compensated quick enough without it. By the way my instructor gave gave a 1++ on car control.
So Sunday I brought the Grand Sport which had a slight miss in the engine at speed the first session. The second session I was making some pretty quick laps and the optispark blew up and the engine just shut off goin down the shoot at 90+ mph. No power steering or power brakes that to was fun. I had to get pulled off the track and on to the trailer.
Oh and on the way home blew a trailer tire and Mike Geyer came out with a spare and jack...great friend

Absolutely an awesome weekend! Some great driving by Ralph and Mike S. -- I enjoyed running with you guys.
And Rich ... Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! ... for letting me borrow the hoosiers. Awesome. I'm "hooked" and want a set.
Sorry Mike I used my last dvd on the run before. But, I'd love to see what you got on tape.

WOODSIE: WHat exactly did you break on the susp?
No doubt the GS was a real handfull when it shut down.!
And things DO HAPPEN in three's, so the trailer tire had to be expected! [=;]

Hey Mike,
Just wanted to say thanks again (publicly) for loaning me the C5 OEM brake pads and offering to help me replace them (I sure was pissed when I couldn't find the security socket for the locking lugnut at the track Sunday afternoon). Hopefully the replacement pads I had shipped to you will be there within the week. Let me know.
Anyway, three of the 4 corners were worn down to the bare metal by the time I got home (coasted & engine braked most of the way). I swapped 'em out in about an hour Sunday evening (after I found the security socket!) and was good to go.
Next on the agenda (when I get back from Belgium again) is to swap the 4 locking lugnuts for regular lugnuts, switch to ATE Super Blue, install stainless steel lines, add brake ducting and buy some real track pads :).

NOW: '99 Corvette FRC, white
P.S. It was nice to get reacquainted with the NVCC opentracking clan. Met some new folks and caught up with some old friends.

The rear camber bolts loosened up and it ended up braking, severe tow out.
