If you check the 'who's online' at the bottom of the
forum listing, you will notice that some people
show up multiple times.

I was logged in 3 times earlier today and
Mike is logged in 5 times right now ( thats how he gets his
post count so high! )

At one point Mike and I had about the same number of posts, but he has since raced past me in that realm. Guess I need to catch up to the quintessential forum animal that Mike is. [:))]

I believe you are listed several times because you are not logging out but rather just closing your browser.

Log out first then close your browser.
