All,
An idea that has been thrown around is doing a group outing to a comedy club. Who is interested?
Those of you who are interested in doing this, some questions:
1. Would you prefer to metro down to a club in DC, or would you rather find one that isn't downtown and can be driven to (ie, NoVa location)?
2. Any comedy clubs that people have had good experiences at and would recommend going to again? I checked one out close by and it was a ghost town. [:(]
As an FYI, most clubs charge a cover charge ($10-15pp) as well as a 2 item per person minimum (bar drinks or an appetizer, etc...) Thoughts???[:-/]

I've "heard" that there is a Cinema Draft House in Sterling that has stand up, but immediately afterwards turns into a dance club that doesn't exactly require the clientele to disarm, so unless I hear things have changed.
I'd love to have that though..preferably somewhere we can drive would be nice.

Through my research the only decent sounding comedy clubs seem to be located in DC. Would be nice to get some more local suggestions from people because I, too, would rather drive than metro.

Its been a number of years but there used to be one in Crystal City. It was a couple of blocks south of Crystal City underground.
There also used to be a dinner club / comedy club out towards Leesburg. I'll have to see if I can find info on either one of them again.

There also used to be a comedy club in one of the hotels in Tysons Corner. I'll try to look on my way to the meeting tonight and let you know the name of the Hotel now.

Yeah, that's one of the ones I came up with during my search. The comedy club is called WiseAcres, but I don't remember the name of the hotel it's in. Thinking that might be our best option. Has anyone been? Is it any good?[:-/]

Its been years since I went, it was pretty good. Way back when if you had a big enough group you could pre-order tickets at a discount.
