What time do these start, and when do you want people to
arrive to help?

Bill,
The event is from 11:30 on... we normally have fun runs afterwards and the last of us are out before 5:00pm. The gates open up normally at 10:00 on Sundays.

Prep and setup normally take a hour to hour and a half depending on how much help we have and how many cars we have to register, etc.,

Looking forward to seeing you there if you can make it.

Mike

Helmet if you have one. If you don't have one, don't rush out to buy one as we do have some loaners.

A lot of people buy a motorcycle helmet the first time around as they are much cheaper. Most places will accept them but some get serious about requiring it to be SA95 or newer. Automotive helmets have a fire protective lining and they are tested for mulitple impacts.

Motorcycle helmets are only tested for a single impact and the lining is not fire retardant.

My $0.02 - I used the club loaners my first year Then I bought my helmet (SA2000) last year at OZ(might be OG,someone will correct me) racing, they used to be in Manassas. I think someone said they moved to Chantilly. It was around $200 (a good price), and it fit.

Like Mike said don't run out and buy one. Try the loaners, got to the race shop and try some on to find your best fit. Then buy one when you know what you want.

If you were referring to you as being slow as in how fast you drive, then yes, yes I am. [:p]

Of course...the 4th numerical display indicator isn't working, so some of us may be better off. Not that I'll be there...soon...soon..

Hello, NVCC Friends--

I'd like to go on the 16th. I can't make it this Sunday. Besides not being able to make it, I was rear-ended last Tuesday and my poor beloved car is pretty much toast. [:((] I won't have a car to run on the 16th either, but thought I might stop by to watch/help out. I don't know if I'll ever get my car back, but if it's totaled (still waiting on the insurance guy to make up his mind), I'll get another Mustang of some kind. If I can't make it the 16th either, then surely I should get to ONE of the auto-crosses!

See you guys soon (hopefully)!

Rhonda,
Sorry to hear about your car. I know how much pride you took in it. I'm not sure if you would be interested but one of the guys in the club is selling his 1985 Corvette.

It is an automatic coupe, light blue I believe and he is asking a very reasonable price for it. If you are interested at all I can put you in touch with him.

Rhonda,

Really sorry to hear about your stang. I hope you're ok, and that if they cant put your baby back together, you'll soon be in something that will make you smile again.

Best of Luck.

Since I dropped my car, I am anxious to see if I can drag cones around like all the really ...uh....FAST ([:))] ) Vette drivers!

You don't have to be fast to drag cones all the way around the track... just ask Jeff. [:D]

MikeHmmm...a Vette, eh? I think I'll consider it, although I'd prefer something newer. I still haven't heard what they're going to do with my car. Anything can be fixed for a price, and if I can get my car back, that would be ideal. How much would you take for YOUR car? Just kidding...sort of.
