OK. This is the full calendar for the NVCC autocross season. The * indicates a NVCC points event. The ** indicates NVCC open event days and are subject to tech inspection and registration.

June
Sunday, June 13th on the drag strip
Saturday, June 19th on the drag strip
Sunday, June 27 on the drag strip *

July
Saturday, July 3rd on the drag strip **
Sunday, July 11th on the drag strip *
Saturday, July 17th on the drag strip *
Sunday, July 25th - All American Iron
Saturday, July 31st on the drag strip *

August
Sunday, August 8th - All American Iron (Rain Date)
Sunday, August 15th on the drag strip *
Saturday, August 28th on the drag strip *

September
Saturday, September 11th on the oval *
Sunday, September 19th on the drag strip *
Sunday, September 26th on the drag strip

October
Sunday, October 3rd on the oval *
Saturday, October 16th on the oval **
Sunday, October 31st on the oval *

NVCC Autocross Invitations and prices

We will continue our policy that our autocrosses are not open to the public and that they will be by invitation only.

To be invited you must be:

1 - A Corvette owner (you do not have to be a member of the NVCC) or
2 - A member of a "Friends of NVCC" club. This currently includes members of the Northern VA Mustang Club, the Capitol Area Cobra Club, and the Mazda Sports Car Club of Washington.
3 - Be specifically invited by me.

As usual, cars are subject to tech inspection by the NVCC before participating.

Prices are as follows:
#1 - $25.00 Corvette owner, not a NVCC member
#2 - $25.00 For members of a "Friends if NVCC" Club.
#3 - $30.00 For everyone else

We do have two dates on the calendar that will be open to the public so to speak. The cars will be subject to tech inspection and we may require registration. Further details will follow.

Darneded, I'm going to miss at least 2 of the points dates [:((]

I'm pretty sure I'll miss July 11 and Sept. 11 because of scheduled vacations.

SOunds like we have a great schedule, everyone needs to come out and participate.

According to the e-mail Paul sent back in the beginning of the month, the cost for NVCC members is now $20.

Paul, if this is not the case, please jump in and correct.[:)]

Laurie, that is correct.

Update:

The autocross on Sunday, June 27 will be on the drag strip rather than the oval. They are using the oval for another event.

Wow, that's a very aggresive schedule with a lot of events. There are quite a few I can't make, but I can help setup courses on the drag strip for those that I can make!

kool, I think Paul and I need a 'sanity check' on the one we set up a couple of weeks ago with James. Most of it is the same as the ones we ran last year. It is the start I'm a little worried about. It feels good for Paul and I but I would feel better with your opinion before we open it up to everyone.

That may not be a bad idea. It might help to keep the drag strip from getting old/boring/etc. [:))]
