Name Change for the NCCC

Hi Judy,

My new member packet and cards arrived from the NCCC a few months ago. They got my last name mis-spelled on the Lifetime Member card...etc...etc. Is this something I should take care of by contacting NCCC directly, or do you wish to work it through your channels or rep.

Hmmm, maybe we should. How about "The Northern Virginia Chapter of Modaholics Anonymous?" or maybe "Vette Lovers 'R Us?"

Your name mispelling is handled with a resubmission of a new NCCC membership application. It has a box on it for this. Someone couldn't make out what was intended and used what they thought was "right". I can send you a new app for you to fill out and send back to me, or I can fill one out and do my best impersonation of your signature. I write like a doctor, but would get your name printed legibly.

As a physician, I should probably be offended by this remark.
Instead, I have to applaud you for stepping up and taking care of the problem. THAT is what a doctor does. The buck always stops here.

I apologize to all the hard working doctors that have legible handwriting, and even those that have crummy handwriting! Without you we would certainly be worse off.

Andrej is our NCCC governor and he can give you a form or I can.

On the other note, I've worked for lawyers for decades and some of their handwriting is illegible so it's not just doctors!! [B-)]

Whatever is easiest for you two...I should be able to make the shop meeting next Tuesday if one of you all are going to be there. I hope they won't be expecting another lifetime membership check with the re-submit...was hoping to just pay that once [:)]
