Welcome to the forum Joe. It looks like you are already getting bombarded with questions. [:)]
I have a 1995 Suburban K1500 with the 4 wheel drive manual selector on the floorboards. In 2 wheel drive mode everything works normal. The selector will go into the different ranges (4 Hi, 4 Lo, Neutral) but none of them work. (Its like being in Neutral).
The only other item to help diagnose it is that sometimes under extreme load (climbing the hills on I-70 headed west) a chattering sound will come from the front transfer case / transmission area. It sounds similar to chattering made if you attempt to put the transmission in park with the vehicle still moving.
Not much to go on I know. Any ideas?
Thanks for helping out and again welcome to the forum.
Mike
