Welcome to the forum Joe!!

I've some things I need to ask you for my '89, but I'll save those for shop day.

Anyways.. my '95 Impala SS's digital part of the dash has stopped working. It would fade in and out for a while, but now it is just dead. The rest of the dash works fine. Is this some thing that I can pull apart and fix (like a loose connector), or would I have to get a new gauge cluster?

Also, I've poked around a bit and found out that the odometer info is stored in the dash itself. Is that correct? If I do get a new dash, how do I reset the odometer to the correct milage?

Thanks for your help..

Sorry not good news.... The dash has to come out and sent to a Delco rebuilder. It usually takes about a week if they don't have an exchange unit. Cost wise if you do the labor it's about $350.00-$450.00. You can go through Koons or contact Southern Auto Electronics. I'll see if I can get a number for you tomorrow and let you know.

Thanks for the help Joe.

However, at that price, I think I'm going to opt for the Z28 gauge cluster mod. *I think* I can get a new Z28 cluster and custom harnes for $200. It will take some cutting, but will be worth it to have analog gauges.

That sounds cool, I havn't seen that yet. the price I gave you would be through our parts dept. with there mark-up. Good luck with the conversion I'd like to see it when you are done.
