The Good Samaritan Council #6175 Knights of Columbus in Sterling, Virginia has invited the Northern Virginia Corvette Club to participate in their 28th Annual Columbus Day Parade. Each year they host a hometown and patriotic parade on the Saturday before Columbus Day. The parade this year will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 10AM.

We need to meet between 9-9:30 AM at Park View High School on 400 West Laurel Avenue in Sterling VA. See attached flyer for map and other pertinent information.

Please post here if you wish to attend or email me at lilredcorvette94@yahoo.com ASAP. We need as many cars as possible.

I am also looking to organize a brunch or lunch afterward for those interested.

Thanks,
Laurie

The following is a list of people who have said they would participate:

Moi
The Benishes
Ray Leonhard
Joe Caucci (if something doesn't come up)
Cassidy Nolen (2 cars)
Chris Kerr + possibly 2 more
Bob Otten

The parade people in charge would love to have us despite our low numbers. The weather forecast so far is "partly sunny with a 30% chance of showers, highs in the upper 60s and lows in the mid 40s". This could change for better or worse...who knows...

What I'm getting at is this...I need to know that the people who have signed up WILL be there. It really won't be much of a display of cars if only a handful show up to the parade. Please let me know either way. Of course, if others are able to come, I'd love to know that, too. The more cars, the better...

My list of 8 cars is dwindling fast...we're down to 6 cars now. If this shrinks any more, then I'll pull us out of the parade.

Of course, if any others can make it, that would be great. Let me know.

Stay tuned...
