I've had a couple of real close calls. I've seen the camera at the last minure when I was sneaking through on a yellow. I once heard that if the light goes red while you are in the intersection they won't give you the ticket if your brake lights are on.
So far it has worked.

WRONG Information,
They have PHOTO REDLIGHT viewers that look at the picture, if you are over the line and in the intersection when the PIC is taken, the inspector runs the License Plate and send you a "Civil" Ticket, it has NO points acessed to it, just a FINE. Ceece [[-X]

Thanks for the correction Ceece. I guess I've just gotten lucky. I don't make a habit of running Yellow lights, but it seems like there are a couple of real 'short' ones out there.

Thats ok...I got nailed the other day...for the car being to low.
Va state law requires that a car be 13" above the ground (bumper), and I'm 9 and 7, rear and front. what bull. The cop must of known that I'd fight that..so he got me for the front tag.
What a pri...err...meanie.[=;]

Va state law requires that a car be 13" above the ground (bumper), and I'm 9 and 7, rear and front.
You gotta be joking! I don't think the front bumper on the 96 is 13" and it hasn't been lowered. What do they measure; bottom, top, middle? Sounds like a purely subjective (BS) law to me.

Ask Ceece. This is actually something he told me about along time ago....I'll be looking into it though. And I surely didnt drop mine 6" in the front.

46.2-1063: "No Person Shall drive on the public highways any motor vehicle registered as a passanger vehicle if it has been "Modified" by "Alteration" of it's altitude from the ground to the extent that it's bumpers, measured to any point on the lower edge of the MAIN HORIZONTAL BUMPER BAR , EXCLUSIVE of any bumper guards, are not within the range of 14"-22" above the ground."
Now I have done this, and had to get under the car (under the valance panel) to measure this, if it is measured from the "Vettes" fiberglass valance panel the measurement would be incorrect according to the portion of the Va Code.
Again this is "Modified", if your vette is at stock height then just explain that ot the JUDGE, JUDGE DREDD [:D]

Kool Ceece and thanks for the clarification.
..but that leaves me with a dilema. If the height of my car is 10" stock and I lifted it to 11", I would be in violation of 46.2-1063.
yaaaaaaaahhhhh! I'm going crazy! [:((]

[@-)] He didn't go through a red light did he?? He could get killed!! [:-s]
Don and I got photographed outside of Glasgow, Scotland for speeding. We were running late because the highway signs took us into Glasgow instead of around the city so once we got on the road again we were speeding and a light flashed in our eyes. We thought the photo was probably pretty funny with both of us looking astonished and our mouths open. We were in a rental car and never heard anything.

Judy,
He was in Arlington totally lost and thought he had enough time to get through the changing light, but obviously he didn't....*shakes head*

Technically anytime you alter your suspension that is in violation. Under 46.2-1063, anything lower than 14" and taller than 22" is a violation. Most Vettes are set "LOW" from the factory as you all know, and so does the Law Enforcement Community. And I bet, most Judges have Corvettes too [:D]
