Gunston Hall/Mason Neck Rallye

WHEN: Sunday, June 14th, 2009 at 9:30 AM until about 12:30 PM.

WHERE: Start at the Gunston Elementary School 10100 Gunston Rd, Lorton VA Finish with brunch at the Pane e Vino Ristorante e Pizzeria‎.

COST: $10 to rallye, $5 to cruise

POKER: There may still be a poker hand available – bring an extra $10 if you may be interested in running the poker hand.

Pane e Vino Ristorante e Pizzeria has a great Sunday Brunch. They have made-to-order pasta, omelets, waffles and wood-fired pizza. The brunch also includes an assortment of cheeses and breads, scrambled eggs or eggs Benedict, hot vegetables, potatoes, soup of the day, assorted fruits and an elaborate pastry bar.

The $22 per person price includes one mimosa each, plus tax and gratuity (other beverages are additional cost). As before, please bring cash (small bills, please) for one bill. Come for the Rallye or just join us for the brunch at about 11:00 AM.

Due to the high chance for rain tomorrow morning and no "hiding" place for registration, rallye #1 has been postponed until June 14. This was originally the date for rallye #2, so it shouldn't conflict with anything else on the calendar. We (Nicole and Cassidy) will move our rallye to later in the season.

Sorry for the cancellation, folks, but we'll still be doing Jerry and Irene's rallye - just in June instead of May!

Gunston Hall/Mason Neck - Rallye #1– Take 2

Well, after a miserable weather weekend on its originally scheduled date, Rallye #1 has now been moved to Sunday, June 14 at 9:30 AM.

Jerry and Irene Lelansky will be our Rallye Masters, and they have put together a truly beautiful drive through the Gunston Hall and Mason Neck area – with some very creative rallye clues. Cassidy and I tested it out and enjoyed the drive immensely. Hopefully the weather will cooperate on this weekend for a beautiful drive!

Updated information for the rallye is in the original post above. Please contact Jerry at the email address listed above to RSVP. Even if you can’t make the rallye, you might still be able to join us for brunch at around 11:00 AM at Pane e Vino (address listed above).
