I'd like to address some of the isses brought up by some recent posts about the website.
1) As discussed, emails for the officers have been purposley left off the site. Privacy and spam issues have led to that decision. If we would like to revist it, then its fine with me. However, instead of having everyone's personal email directly on the site, we should create official club emails such as "president@nvcorveteclub.com" and "social@nvcorvetteclub.com". These can auto-forward to the personal address of the officer, or be an entire account.
2) The address listed on the autocross page is an oversite and should be removed.
3) That brings me to another point. The content on the autocross page and other pages is a year or more old. Maybe I haven't done a good enough job soliciting the council and/or membership to send content for the site.
4) The web site will be getting a facelift shortly. New functionality will probably be added. If you have any suggestions or input PLEASE email the webmaster or post it here.
5) If you have problems with the site and need to contact me, send emails to webmaster@nvcorvetteclub.com. My personal email is flooded with with spam (~1000/week), spamassasin kills most of it for me, but I dont have time to verify the results. If you send an email to my personal address and do not get a response, this is probably why.
6) Event registration. When I first started the website, I defined a list of requirements that needed to be met. As any good software starts with good requirements. I sent the requiremnts documetnation to the council and got back NO responses. As such the portions of the site that I have gotten the most feedback on (admistration) works the best. Events and registration does not work well becuase I have never been able to nail down a set of requiremnts for it and still have many unresolved questions. Also, until now, no one has been interested in it.
