I am posting this announcement for Dick Hammaker. If you wish to register, you must contact Dick Hammaker directly, NLT April 2nd 2009, at dick.hammaker@cox.net. Please do not post RSVPs here, as he does not check the forum very often.

*******************************************

This is the event you've all been waiting for - Rallye 101 or "What You Always Wanted to Know About Rallying But Were Afraid to Ask!!" Come learn the secrets and tricks of the trade from the masters!!

Rallye 101 will consist of discussions on what to bring, how to prepare, how much to bribe the Rallye Master, and how to read General Instruction and Route Instructions. Lecture will be followed by a short (about 45 minutes) practice Rallye and brunch debrief.

WHEN: Sunday, April 5, 2009 at 9:30 AM until about 12:30 PM.

WHERE: Fireside Grill, located at 9000 Lorton Station Boulevard, Lorton, VA 22079.

SOCIAL: Fireside Grill has a great Sunday Brunch for $22.00 (includes brunch, drink, tax, and tip...special price just for NVCC). Fireside Grill also offers a limited menu including salads and sandwiches for those who would prefer a lighter lunch. As before, please bring cash (small bills, please) for one bill. Come for the Rallye or just join us for the brunch at about 11:00 AM.

DIRECTIONS: See http://www.firesidegrillva.com for directions or call the restaurant at 703-372-1923.

Just trying to bump this up so people will see it on the main page. This event promises to be great fun (and what looks like - hopefully - great weather!)

I made this thread a 'sticky' from the beginning, so it has been visible at all times. I plan on being there for the brunch portion (Dick already has my RSVP).

The weather forecast is shaping up to be great, folks, so come on out!

A few of us dropped by later for brunch, so I'm sure others will chime in on the rest of the details of the day, but just wanted to report that the club had 17 cars and 36 people at Fireside Inn. Excellent turn-out and phenomenal weather to boot. Spring is finally here!

Many thanks to all who worked so hard on this event!
