Cas and Nicole (Mainly Nicole) AMAZING JOB!!! You guys did a great job and it was an excellent night.

I understand that some people complained about some stuff here and there. I'd like to take a second to remind these people of something.

Not a SINGLE person who steps up and does stuff for this club is paid. Every single person who gets off of their butt and actually does something for this club does so out of the kindness of their heart. They do so because they are truly a part of this club and think of it's members as family.

This banquet had 60+ people attend. There is no way to accomodate all 60 people AND keep everybody happy. Cas and Nicole (just like every other person who plans a large event) have to play to the common denominator. It is what it is. Neither of them are professional party planners or event organizers. I think they did a great job either way.

Even though I didn't plan the banquet, I am offended that people would have the audacity to complain about something that was supposed to be an night of celebration which was organized by two people who volunteered and gave out of the goodness of their hearts. People who have never asked anything of this club and who have given so much. By the way, a few of the door prizes were also donations from Cas and Nicole as well. To those of you who mumbled nasty little comments under your breath, shame on you.......... When you step up and put yourself out there by volunteering for something this big, then you'll earn that right.

So, no matter what the other "complaints" were, Cindy and I had an amazing time and are very grateful that you put in the time and effort to make this event so great. This goes out to all who helped to get this event up and going with organization, appetizers, planning, etc. Thank you for your efforts, we appreciate your hard work.

That's it. My 2 cents. I'm getting off of my soap box now. I don't mean to ruffle any feathers, bruise any egos or start any more drama, I just had to get that off of my chest. Now, back to work...........

Lynn and I had a great time. It was a very nice location and the food was great.

Many thanks to all that worked to pull it off, especially Nicole and Cassidy!

:werd:Quoted/bolded for truth. Unfortunately, a council position can be a thankless job sometimes. Shouldn't be that way, either...
