Those who have been around might be interested in the exploits of Mike Canney a local guy who now owns a winery in Purcellville, lives in Florida, has a $250,000 GT1 Rocketsports C6 Corvette that broke the GT1 track record at VIR BUT has chosen to race mustangs in the Koni series and is doing well!

Mike if you need Canney's email, let me know. Also he sold his Rockesports GT1 C6. Too busy racing in the Koni series to race it so he sold it.

Former NVCC'r and friend of the club, Mike Canney (who owns Sunset Winery in Purcellville) won the Koni Grand Sport race in Canada on August 16th. We forgive Mike for driving a Mustang but that is what everyone drives in the class! Yeah Mike!

:mad::mad::mad: Turns out the Koni series web site had a typo. Mike Canney actually ended up blowing a water hose and dumping all the water out of the engine and ended up 18th!!! If anyone is going to go he will be running in New Jersey at the newThunderbolt Raceway the last weekend in August and at VIR in Oct.
