It's time for a reminder...
Terms and conditions for posting to the NVCC forum:
Here are some basic rules/guidelines when posting on the NVCC forums. Please note that it is impossible to cover EVERY situation.
1) Please do not use foul language. There are word filters in place, but it is preferable to simply not use extreme vulgar language. As a simple guide, if you can hear the word on public TV then it won't be filtered. Be mature about this.
2) Personal attacks will not be tolerated and the post is subject to removal. Light-hearted ribbing is OK, but remember that stuff doesn't always translate well into text. Others may read it and assume it is a personal attack. If someone misconstrues your meaning, you should edit your post and clarify your meaning. The forum should be a place where we treat one another with civility so that it remains a fun and friendly place to hang around with other Corvette enthusiasts. Hostility to others is rude and inappropriate.
3) Certain subjects are simply not welcome and will not be tolerated.
- Racist/sexist/homophobic/anti-X religion posts displaying prejudice, hate, or offensive language will not be tolerated. Pro-hate group posts, links to their sites, etc. won't be tolerated either.
- Blatantly sexual posts with "Gee, I'd do her", or anything of the like are not allowed. No measurements for guys' or gals' specific parts, posts with nude pictures or links, or any discussion that one could not have in a conservative office environment will be allowed. There are lots of places on the internet to find that type of content, but this is not one of them. This means no "dirty" jokes that you couldn't tell a mixed crowd in your office. "Racy" might be OK, but out and out "dirty" is not. Once again, if there is a complaint, your post will be deleted.
- Spam - No shop "grandstanding" will be tolerated. The forums are for NVCC sponsors and members ONLY. Supporting vendors pay a considerable amount of money toward site maintenance, making it free for the rest of us to use. In exchange, they get the privilege of using the forum to market and promote their goods and services. No "XYZ Motorsports is having a sale and offering members 10% off on their services" type of posts unless it has been cleared by the NVCC staff. Advertisements for non-NVCC sponsors or non-affiliated shops are subject to removal at the NVCC's discretion. Any vendors or shops wishing to become a supporting vendor, please contact the administrator.
- Kill stories - No street racing posts or "kill stories" are allowed. Street racing is dangerous and illegal. Your post will be deleted and you may be removed from this forum. Save it for the track!
4) Many sites won't allow you to say anything bad about one of their sponsors. If a vendor contacts us about a post and we deem that it has degraded away from the facts of the issue into a "bashing" session, then we may delete your post. Please contact the administrator about possible issues related to one of the NVCC sponsors before creating a negative thread about them so that we may be able to help out before you advertise a complaint.
5) Please do NOT to push the limits to see what is allowable and what is not. In addition to the above, some things that come across as only mildly racy could potentially cause people at work to lose access to the NVCC forums. This includes both porn and bikini posts. Please keep that material off this site. If you are on the site to promote or start negative behavior, this is not the site for you. If you are on the site with an agenda, this is not the site for you.
6) If there are any violations of the listed guidelines, you are subject to being restricted from the forums (placed on "moderation") for an undetermined period of time (case-by-case basis); repeated violations and you can be removed permanently.
7) Please contact the administrator if you have an issue with something or somebody in the forums. Posting "why did my thread get locked/deleted" likely will not get the desired answer. However, sending an e-mail to the administrator will ALWAYS get you a complete response/explanation.
8) Members with invalid information (name, e-mail address, etc.) will be deleted. Members with more than one account will have the superfluous accounts deleted. Periodic audits will reveal such accounts, so please do not sign up multiple times.
9) Do not post the same thread in multiple forums. The duplicate threads will be deleted.
10) No "hijacking" of threads. Hijacking a thread is coming into an existing thread and posting messages which are completely irrelevant to the original thrust of the thread. It is inappropriate in most instances, so please don’t do it.
11) Selling of individual items is permissible by a private owner in our classifieds forums, however selling multiple items of the same product is considered a commercial post and may be removed at the discretion of the NVCC staff.
12) If you need to contact the administrator with regard to any of the above, kindly e-mail LilRedCorvette94@yahoo.com with such questions.
By creating a post on this forum, you are agreeing to the above terms and conditions.
Thank you for joining the NVCC forum and enjoy!
