Annual Club Picnic - Sun. 7/20/08

Our annual picnic/BBQ will be held this year at Algonkian Regional Park on Sunday, July 20th 2008. Come out and enjoy hamburgers, hotdogs, salads, snacks, soft drinks, and desserts as you partake of the park's nature trail, family playground, and golf, along with some cool tunes. We have reserved Pavilion #1 for the entire day; please RSVP to lilredcorvette94@yahoo.com and indicate how many in your party will be attending. Anyone who wants to bring games, volleyball, etc, please feel free to bring those items for use in the park. No alcohol is allowed. The park is very family friendly and is also open to pets (leashed). This event is open to NVCC members, their families, and those who have applied for NVCC membership.

Directions: To reach Algonkian Regional Park from the Beltway (I-495), take Route 7 west 11 miles to Cascades Parkway north, and drive 3 miles to the park entrance.

Folks,

I need RSVPs for this event emailed to me NLT COB Fri 7/18/08. See below for complete details. This event is FREE, just bring your appetites!

Additionally, I need some volunteers (3-4) to bring their coolers and some ice for the beverages at 11:15 AM the day of the picnic. Also need 2-3 people at 11:30 AM to bring the grilling supplies, get the BBQ fire started, and help grill the grub. Let me know if you can help with these things; you will be reimbursed for the supplies, so please bring your receipts.

Thanks to everyone who came out today in the heat to the picnic. Lots of folks out there helped pull off the event, including grillers, those who lent their coolers with lots of ice, those who brought food items, arranged music, took pictures, etc. Nice job, everyone!
