All,
At the last meeting I was informed that the NVCC had done a deal with it's past sponsor during the unvieling of the C5, where cars were put onto the showroom floor alongside the new C5.
I spoke to the GM of Koons to ask his opinion, and he was pretty pumped. He expects that the first C6 will hit the showroom around the last week of July/1st week of August. If anyone would be interested in showing thier car(s), please let me know so I can get things lined up.
I also asked if he would be interested in a "NVCC" weekend at the dealership, where we could flood the dealership with vettes, and he was interested in that idea as well.
Thoughts or comments?

Those sound like awesome ideas. It is very refreshing to see Koons taking an active intrest in the club...

Collin,
Awesome. Brad, I agree 100%. It was great that Koons showed up, and they definitely are seeing the potential this club can bring to them.
Thanks all

Prez,
What actually happened with the C5 was that the club members were taken to a room which I remember as being "downstairs" although I could be wrong about that and they literally unveiled the C5 by taking the cover off of it for the NVCC members ONLY. It wasn't in a showroom, it was a special sneak preview for us only in a private area. Made us feel very special. It would be great to have that happen again and I am sure a lot of members who don't ever show up for anything would make an effort to be one of the first people in the area to see the C6 in person.

Judy,
I heard both, and Alex is definitely interested in the shows....I'll see if I can arrange a special "unveiling", but that may require making sure Mike Woods is sedated so he doesnt try to race the car off the showroom :)

Don't forget the Non-Disclosure Agreement that needs to be signed also.

A suggestion for the 'extra' Corvettes at the unveiling would be to have examples from every 10 years >> back. That is '95, '85, '75, '65, and '55. It would sort of dispaly the evolution of the card If our club does not have them then find examples from another club.

Thats a great idea Bob! I really like it. I imagine Koons would really like it also.

Sorry...thought I had mentioned that...yes, a C1 through C5 if possible to put onto the showroom floor for a week or so...Collin's 63 will be awesome if he has it ready.

I've been looking into this and it is a bug with the current version of the Forum software. The next version is still in development, but is listed as "stable", so we should have an update soon..
Sorry about that ladies..

[;)] Laurie,
It's either that they feel only men can drive Corvettes or that you and I drive so good when they see the car coming they think it must be a man!!
