Thought you all might be interested in this... always a huge turnout and Matt throws a lot of freebie stuff out... I am trying to get a mini gathering at the event for the ZR-1 crowd..

If you want to be in the show need to sign up early..space is limited. This event does not appear to conflict with any events noted on the NVCC calendar..

They've asked me to instruct for them at Summit Point Shenandoah Circuit on Sunday. That ought to be fun too! [:D]

Just signed up for the show...looking forward to it. [B-)] Hopefully I'll have a bit more bling to show off by then!

If all of us NVCC'ers are going to try and park together...let me know where and when to meet on the 5th if we are planning on cruising into the show as a group.

Thanks,

Great... I think the best way to group is to get there early enough so we can do such... I plan to role in about 11:30

Made this a 'sticky' thread as well as added to the club events calendar.

So far we have the following signed up to go:

Michael Rierson
Andrej Balanc
John Palmgren
Don Ellenberger
The Holzers
Laurie Kistner

In the odd event some of you check the forum before the show...if you don't already know, the forecast has taken a turn (shock and surprise). This year, the weatherpeople haven't been the best at their jobs...

The forecast has changed to the following:

* Today: A shower is possible early. Cloudy skies. High 63F. Winds N at 10 to 15 mph.

Right now (9:35 AM) it is sunny with nothing on the radar in the immediate area, so the Curry's show should be fine. :)

Absolutely fantastic NVCC turnout on what ended up being a great weather day. Unfortunately a couple of NVCC members didn't have such a good day at the dyno. Thanks to everyone who pitched in and helped out in one member's need...it's what makes the club so great. But otherwise, a fun day with lots of great cars. :)

Hi,

As some of you saw at the show yesterday, I had a tire blowout on the dyno. I just wanted to send out a personal thanks especially to Mike Rierson for loaning me one of his Run Flats to get me home. Mike, I don't have your contact information, but I'm working on getting it, and will call you asap to make arrangements to give you back the tire.

Joe and Cel, sorry I disappeared with my things still in your car. Thanks for working with Laurie and Anthony to transfer them to Anthony's car so I could take them home once I got back from picking up the tire at Mike's House. Thanks Rich, for giving me Joe and Cel's number.

And thanks to Anthony, Laurie, and Don, for sticking around and keeping my company while everything got sorted out.

I made it home safely, a little shaken from the day, but Curry's was awesome and they are helping me to get everything resolved so that I can get back on the road with the new rims.

Thanks again for all the help. I am now have living proof of the camaraderie between Corvette owners that was discussed in one of the recent NVCC newsletters.

Sincerely,
John

Absolutely glad to help... I hope WCC comes thru on the tire replacement. BTW...it was hell driving home with just three wheels on my Vette ;-)))))

Megan and I were there for a few hours and had a blast. We primarily stayed in around the dyno but did make a pass through the cars there for the show. I was definatly excited when I heard the weather forcast for clear skies and mid 60's as opposed to the 50's and heavy rain that was originally being called for. Hope everyone else had fun. John.. I don't even know where to start with what happened but damn, that sucked :(
