What's up my friends...? Well, the season is here and I have to put a seat in the SC miata becasue I'm a little tall to safely fit under the hard top.
I went to the roll cage and fabrication shop that most of you recommend (Won't mention their name) and the price came to $1400... Just for a single seat install..... .
So, needless to say, I am not going to dump $1400 into the miata simply for the seat.
So, I wanted to see if anybody else knew of any competent shops who are familiar with Miatas and who would not charge an arm and a leg for install.
I can still run the car with my helmet on, but I'm a little concerned if something does happen and my head slams into the top. With the top off, I'm okay and wil still be close to the broom stick rule, but better safe than sorry.
So, please send me ideas on a place that can accomodate. I'll try it myself, but I'd say a 2 inch drop would be safe and my welding skills are about as good as my driving skills are at this point. So, seeing as how I don't want to catch the car on fire or go flying through the windshield on a hard stop, I'll leave it to the experts.
THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
