3rd Teen Driving school set!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK boys and girls! I just got off the phone with the county and we are approved for use of Battlefield High School out in Haymarket for our 3rd Teen Driving School! The date will be December 1st and we will be targeting the Holiday and New Year accidents time frame. This is traditionally a very bad time of year for accidents for kids so it's a great time of year to hold a school!

I will be looking for helpers, instructors, and sponsors over the next month or so.

George, I'll see if I can get Securitas to get involved again. Hopefully financial contributions but at least with goody bags for the volunteers again as well as coffee and donuts. Either way, I'll be out there doing what I can. Are we going to try to the cell phone / obstacle course this year?

By the way, GREAT JOB on getting another place. YOU... DA.... MAN.... Hopefully they'll let us use the lots to set up autoX events in the future.

I checked for you . Over the last 5 years there has only been 1 December 1st that has actually been under 55 degrees. [;)] It also has bee warmer then than it was in March when we did it the first time! [;)]

Don't want to get in trouble for hi-jacking this thread!!!!! We're doing great, the move went well, our caravan of vehicles made it through customs OK, a few raised eyebrows and lots of paper work, but all in all it went great. We are certainly going to miss instructing the young folk at the Teen Driving School though!!! Great job on securing another location!

Z joined the local Corvette Club today at a Drag Race event so he has met some of the locals and received an application for their Club. It won't be long and we'll be in the groove again!

I drove out to Battlefield High School this past weekend to check it out and all I can say is the parking LOTS are huge!!!!
The school puts up sawhorse barriers on the weekends and I know why! There is an incredible amount of room to run a car up to speed. This will be a great place for our Teen Car Clinic in December.

George, do we have any kind of flyers or outlines for this? I was speaking to some parents at my church about this and they are interested but would like to see some kind of outline as to what we do. I explained what we did but I guess they wanted to see something on paper. Do we have any of the handouts from the last teen driver's school?
