The Virginia Motor Sports Club in Richmond, VA is having their first autocross at the Dinwiddie Motorsports Park (Dragstrip south of Petersburg off route 85 and 460. It's about a 45 minute drive south of Richmond,

Come on down. We can use some more Corvette drivers. Check out the VMSC web site and registration page at http://www.vmsc.org.

Is preregistration available for the March 21 autox? I can't seem to find it, only for 2003 stuff....

VMSC is putting a new registration package on the web site as we speak. Should be set up for pre-registration by the end of this weekend. That's the word from the web master anyway.
We'll see.

I just checked the VMSC web site and the new pre-registration set-up is on line and working. Still some space left for the 21st.

Jack,

I'm on the waitlist for this autox and Mike Sarver is coming down too. Are the odds good that I'll get off the wait list and run if I show up and that Mike will be able to run too?

I'm on the wait list Andrej. Jack sent me an email and let me know what I was doing wrong in trying to register. I hope we get an answer. I would hate to trailer down and not be able to get in.

Glad to see you guys signed up for this Sundays VMSC autox down at Dinwiddie. If you guys are in the top 125 cars, you'll get your full runs in. And you are. 120 -125 is the normal amount of cars we get in any of our autox's. And everyone gets all their runs. So you'll be fine. If I'm wrong (It'll be the first time. I've been mistaken before, but never wrong) You guys can have my place! Two Corvettes in place of one Audi, that's fair isn't it?

Look forward to seeing you. - Jack -

What time are you planning on leaving? Do you want to convoy down?

I am planning on leaving around 7am, heading down Rt28 to the Prince William Pky to I95. That ought to get me to the autox by around 10-10:30.

Is there someplace we can hook up along this route?

Prince William Parkway comes into I95 at exit 158 so if I was there at 7:30, you should be coming through around then or a little later.

Just got back from Dinwiddie and let me say it was a long day, over thirteen hours. The weather was screwy, really nice temps but the wind blew all day.

All of that aside, all I can say is YES!

I had a blast today. Andrej, Zoel and I went down. Ended up seeing a couple of guys that come out to ODS with us, Richard Kennefick and Curtis Judge.

So Jack if you check back in here, thanks for the invite and the great time.

Glad to see you guys had a good time. Mike, it was good meeting you and Zoel and seeing Andrej again. Wish the wind would have cooperated a little bit, but overall, for this time of year the weather wasn't bad. I also wish I had my Vette out there to run with you guys. Next time!

I'll plan on getting up to one of your events this spring. I'll bring the Vette and leave the grocery getter at home! I'll keep a look out on the web site.

Check out the VMSC website when you get a chance. The autox schedule for the year is up. Love to have you guys join us again.
