I know that Cooper Corvettes is offering a shop day, but I also spoke to Koons, and if we can get Joe Malo onboard, I'd like to get one setup with him as well.
Can y'all give a few dates that might look good, so that I can approach him and Koons?

March 20, April 10, May 15, all work for me. But Joe has to be there to fix the ABS on the Tahoe!

I'm with Andrej.
...and if Tom Green were around he would also since he needs his ABS on his race car fixed [:)]

FNG question. What's the purpose of "shop day?" [:D]

Jeff,
Excellent question, and sorry that I didnt explain that. Basically a "shop day" is a day where you can take your vette into a dealership, put it on a lift "if necessary", and work on your car. the bonus to all this is that I'llbe trying to get Joe Malo (and maybe some other mechanics) to be around to assist and advise.
Several of the ladies of the club have already mentioned wanting to know how to do things like oil changes, changing tires, etc., but you'll also be able to ask questions like "what the heck does this thigamajob do" (No John Tribble, I was not referring to the accelerator...I know what it is..just scared to use it)[:-"]
It's also a good time to meet alot of the other corvette folks in the club, who are a WEALTH of information. Mike Sarver alone has taught me more about my car, setup, toes, etc. If you can get Zoel Robinson aside, he's also got a ton of information regarding different things. In fact, there probably isnt anyone in the club that cant show you something about your car. It'll be a good time..and you can get some things done on the car (or help others on thiers and learn a few things).

OK, Jeff. Good explanation.
I'm in for this. Would love to crawl up under my Vette for a few minutes just to look around.
Got some new Z06 Chromies showing up on Monday that I need mounted. Would this be a good opportunity to do that?

Yes it would, depending on when we can get the dates.

Jeff,
Any additional word on dates, either Cooper's or Koon's?

A shop day sounds great - getting Joe to participate on the forum is also a great idea!
Thanks for taking the initiative.[:)]

More when I have it.

A shop night would be good. Criswell Chev and CCA used to do shop night once a month. 1st Wednesday of the month would be good.

Anytime would be good, if I can get off would like to clean up the bottom of the car and remove the wheels etc to get ready for showtime....

Where are we at with Shop Day? I've got new gears coming! [:D]
Guess I'll need to find a place for tuning as well. [;)] Changing from 2.73 to 3.42.

That will be a real 'kick in the seat' difference.
I'm not familiar with the C5s. The swap just requires a change to the computer to get the speedo corrected doesn't it?

From what I've read in Corvette Forum, it's not a speedometer adjustment issue. Seems there is no recalibration requirement for that.
It's an adjustment to change the A4 shift points. Seems the lower gears will make the A4 redline faster and you need to retard those redline shift points and/or adjust the mph shift settings (or both).
Apparently, there's a bunch of other things that can be done with LS1 Edit that are being recommended as well.
Know anybody with an LS1 Edit?

Not really. We don't have enough gearheads in the club for anyone to have it. Is it like LT edit or more expensive?
