Hey everyone,

As you know, Roadblock Protective Systems Inc. has gotten very involved with the club lately. What many of you don't know is how many different products and services they do and have. I went to their web site this morning and thought I would post it for everyone to see. This is a first class operation with a top notch staff. If you get a chance check out their site.

I needed this last year before I started tracking the Z06. Now it will have to wait until I get the car repainted. [:(]

It would have protected against those pesky body cracks too!!!! [:))] Just kidding!

Hey, I went and seen the shop today! WOW!!! Nice place! There was a Masaratti (yes, I now it's not spelled right!) and 1 of 400 GT3 RS'S in there that were owned by a dentist!

We are arangeing a tour and a car detailing class for the club one day in there! Anyone and everyone that can should come out to this place for the event! They are A1 people! [B-)]

"One day" as in soon or "one day" as in sometime in the future far far away?

I've been talking to Steve and Christal about possibly them hosting a cruise in some where and inviting all the exotics they work on. I think they are considering it. [;)] I was at their shop one day and they had 3 cars in there worth around 2 million! So they work on a lot of high end exotics also.

Ha! So far the Painters Tape only cost about $8.50 a role...but then again, after applying the tape, my car is so ugly, I scare people out of the way ! [:))]

i apparently ordered the same at Roadblock on July 3, 2007. when i came in for the appt. tho, they said that they could not do the full hood that day, because they had a supply problem [something about the film they got was shipped defective [striations(?)]. however they offered to cover as much as they could that day; then i was supposed to bring it back for the reapplication of the full hood. the latest is that the supplier has agreed to ship a corvette C6 hood piece, pre-cut, ETA is next week [of august 13, 2007]. the good news is that they are thinking about discounting my brake-away wheel treatment to compensate for the lengthy work back-order-fill. my vette is brand new so i have been limiting my driving to break-in levels while waiting [i bought the car on june 22; have only 600 break-in miles on it so far]. i "ran into" [no pun intended] an MP friend at Ft. Belvoir, and he, like me, likes an extra length break-in anyway. he bought his porsche 911 turbo when he was stationed in germany, and didn't take it up to 300kph on the autobahn until he had put a couple grand of klicks on it!
i guess there is little chance of paint damage on the remaining unprotected upper hood, but i would kick myself if the day before the full roadblock hood application, i hit a rock chip, arghhh!
anyway, thought i would share my travails with any other brand new vette owners coming on line!?

Dude - Just go to any hardware store and buy yourself a $4 role of painters tape. Its easy and its effective and causes -0- paint damage. [B-)]

For my 2006 Z06 I paid $2,000 for the front end, hood, fenders, rockers, and door handle cups. The need to re-do the hood because they did a 3 piece and it looks like heck. I asked for a quote before they did the work however they never told me the price until after the job was finished. I now have to take the car back for them to fix the 3-piece job on the hood. I won't get into what happened to my OZ Racing Wheels when they picked up the car and drove it onto their trailer!
