Memorial Day Weekend BBQ/Pool Party - Sat. 5/26/07

Well,

Since you all are not ready to sing your hearts out Karaoke style, I'll shift gears...

For those of us NOT going to the beach that weekend, on Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend, how about a BBQ at my place in Alexandria? I can supply the grill, the basics and some beverages. You guys bring some stuff to grill or drinks, you get the idea. The pool will be open but we are having some COOL evenings. It takes a LOT of BTU's to heat 22,000 gallons of water so you might find yourself dipping feet in only. Up to you. I'll try if you will!

Things would get started around 2 and go until whenever. I'll have the basement gameroom up and running too so if its too cold in one spot, try the other.

Rain date would be Sunday. Anybody game for it? I am away from the computer most of this week but will check in each evening.

I am going to try and get the Sheikhs on board. Basically they are the turn-key equivalent of a good time. Seriously, do something with them once and you'll know what I mean.

Awe.... I'm blushing...

Well, we'll be running the CDC autocross in Manassas that day. IM in heat 2 and Cindy is in heat 4. We'll see if we can get away with just running the morning heats and head out early to make it down to your place.

We're riding in the Rolling Thunder the next day so we have to get up around 6am. We won't be able to hang out too late though. Anyway, see you guys there!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully the weather will hold up. Yesterday would have been a perfect outdoor time (little cool for the water but perfect otherwise).

Laugh, but my very first triathlon started with a 1 mile swim in 58 degree water. When you got out you got to ride a bike 27 miles in 48 degree weather in the pouring rain! Then you had to run 10K. Talk about cold!!! [:))]
