All right, stop laughing, I am serious. Its not like REGULAR Karaoke because its even MORE embarrasing.
Sheikh and I did this a little while back and had a BLAST. You get a private room and a computer full of music. Corona comes in CANS (did not even know that existed) and you make a fool of yourself in front of a number of your pals.
My rules on this:
If you are interested in more info, you are not obligated. However, once we reserve the room we have to have your commitment because it costs money per person per hour.
If you come, you have to at least 'try' to sing. Its hard if only one person or two will do it. Everybody staring at you singing is odd. Not that the whole concept is not.
My thought was do this on a Friday or Saturday night. We would ideally have about 10 people going, maybe 12. The rooms vary in size but that is about it for a large room. This would be at Cafe Muse in Annandale. There are other places with bigger rooms but at least this one I have been to and know its pretty fun.
Thoughts? Verbal assults? Inputs all appreciated.

I guess not knowing how to speak Korean is not a problem? This is one of the craziest things that's come across this forum! [:))]

I've done this before. You really have to get some liquor in you to sing in front of your pals. [:))]
I've embarrassed myself once before doing this, so I'll pass up this opportunity. Have fun!

The music is in English, just these places are often owned/run by Koreans.
I was the only Caucasian in the joint the last time I did this. [:))]

[:D] Very funny George, very funny!
I will say that some of the Korean places don't have English songs. This one does AND a pretty good group of them. The experience is very interesting. As Laurie says, clearly you and your party are out of place but we are used to that by now with these cars, right?
I am guessing George is up for it? Andrej? Woo ha. I got the "strange post" award for the month?
I was thinking one weekend like May 25 (for all the sane people not going to the beach that Friday night) or June 1?

Having done this before, with Cassidy, all I can say is HELL YEA!!!
I'll do it. I'll be the first to admit that I absolutely STINK at singing but after a few miller lights, who cares... Bon Jovi eat your heart out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On a serious note: I will require all involved to sign a waiver to fully release me from any and all damage done to ear drums, nerves and from any nightmares that may plague them in the future. This message has been approved by the "Goofy fat bald guys karaoke association".....

I think you all would enjoy it. Good times. I want to see Andrej sing Mac the Knife...
George I always saw as more of a Skynard fan.....Freebird maybe?

Hellz yah I'm in. Unlike Sheikh, I am going to have to hit something a little stronger to work up the courage to make a super fool out of myself. I'm thinking a few shots of tekillya. Then I'll be ready to serenade everyone with MY version of either figaro (sp?) in D minor or some one hit wonder 80s rapper. I'll let the crowd decide. That in itself should get more people to come now :)
Also, if anyone is worried about looking out of place, just stand next to me the big white chick and then you won't look out of place anymore :)
