EAST REGION SPECTACULAR MAY 19-20

HELLO ALL...I put this under CONCOURS since there are 14 of them... but there are MANY MANY other events- auto-x, rallye, funkhanna, economy run (Hosted by NVCC) to enter.

The East Region is hosting a weekend spectacular in BALTIMORE MD on MAY 19-20.

A $50 registration fee will include hospitality munchies FRI- hot & cold hor-derves SAT & Bar-B-Q SUN. We also have a $20 a day hospitality fee for those who are not staying the entire weekend but still want to eat.

$150 a person gets you your choice of 14 events over two days....But it would be easier to carte blanche the events as listed on the form and select your choice of either day's events. We added sanctions AFTER the registration form was printed and a new form is upcoming soon. We hashed it out yesterday. I have the CORRECT registration form but cant seem to attach it to here.. its in EXCEL form. [:((] I can email to anyone interested.

REMEMBER you can only enter 7 events per day. All events are being held at the HOTEL. We tried to set up a format for everyone's pleasure you cant say "OH I DON'T DO THAT KINDA EVENT"

I met with the committee yesterday and have finalized the events as follows:

We have booked a block of rooms for this event, password ERNCCC, which will only be held until this weds APRIL 18th at an agreed $89 a night.

As Brian noted NVCC is hosting the first ever economy run! This event will test your ability to drive as if an egg is under your go pedal. We all know Corvettes CAN get good fuel mileage and this event will attempt to prove it!
Hope to see a lot of club members entered.

Let me also say that currently the registrations are WAY DOWN and I do not understand that since I know alot of points chasers.

You guys living close have NO REASON to miss this event. The region stands to make alot of money on it and we have expenses to run our association.

I just booked my room at the Clarion (took one of the last two non-smoking rooms [:|] ). I'll be sending my registration in tonight for 7 autoxes and 7 rallyes! [:D]

I still need to register, but I have to find out what all is involved with the economy run first. I guess that's what I get for missing a meeting when dates got changed around.

I registered for the overall event last week but did not register for any individual events, as I was assuming I would be busy chairing the economy run and all the autox are on Saturday. CONFLICT! Go get em Andrej !

George.... only thing that changed is that your event is now on sat and is only one event. Everything else you planned should be in line.

JIM you are probably doing what everyone else will do.... wait and see on the events... I am sure that on sat morning if the weather is dandy, we should get a pile of both racers and shiners... BUT BUT BUT--- you need to buy the REGISTRATION PACKAGE ($50) to enter and compete. Day of event (After May 1) it will be $60 per entrant.

Autocross starts at 9am.... Economy Run at 1pm....you probably can fit a few events in the morning if you are all set up for your ECONO RUN in the afternoon. NOW let me ask you and GEORGE... you want it to run on sunday??? would that help you? I dont know how it got moved???

Best advice is to register now... And book the rooms at the "booked" price...

JUST WAS INFORMED that the GAZZE band is back on for saturday night at $35 a head... This was canceled due to lack of registrations.....however it seems maybe we are coming around now and they put it back on the schedule... It was a VERY expensive band we thought better not to go in the hole over.

SO It looks like we are shaping up a great weekend! THanks to all who are coming.! [=D>]

Brian, I think it's a good idea to move it to Sunday, but let me talk to Drej, Jim, Erica, and Richard first. That would also give us a chance to push this thing on Saturday also to all the gear heads.
