Bump. For those new to Concours, here's some info:

The dictionary defines concours d'elegance as "a show or contest of vehicles and accessories in which the entries are judged chiefly on excellence of appearance and turnout". Every year NVCC puts on such a car show, and it is a NCCC-sanctioned event. We have entries in many different categories from all over the region, have a panel of judges, and give the winners trophies.

This year Koons has again extended their hospitality to us in hosting the show at their facility. The show will benefit the Special Olympics. We have both judged and non-judged (fun show) categories...you do not need a "Concours" car to enter! We desperately need club member entrants. The more cars, the better, as that means that:

1. We can donate a lot more money to the Special Olympics this year,

2. We can make a great showing (publicity) of the club,

3. We can give Koons, our sponsor, our thanks for their support...and support them in return, and

4. We can have fun while doing so.

Here are the classes for Concours:

Concours Prepared: Showroom condition, stock equipment, no deviation. Classification sheet, exterior, interior, and engine judged.

Modified: 3-4 modifications allowed. Classification sheet, exterior, interior, and engine judged.

Custom: More modifications than the modified category. Custom (non-factory) paint jobs would be included in this grouping. Classification sheet, exterior, interior, and engine judged.

Race-prepared: NO classification sheet, exterior, interior, and engine judged. Must meet RP requirements for speed events. Track rats this means you!

Street Show: NO classification sheet, exterior, interior, and engine judged.

Wash and show: NO classification sheet, exterior and interior judged only. Hood remains closed, NO engine judging.

Exhibition: No judging, just for fun and to help our charity.

Even if you are a worker for the event, you can enter your car, too. If you are working as a judge, you can enter your car for judging, we just won't have you judge your own class. But it would be nice to have as many club members possible bring a car and put it in the show, judged or not. You'll learn a lot about your car as well as help a great cause.

Please print out the registration form and mail to me ASAP (address on 2nd page). I will also be at the GBM with hard copies of the forms as well. Thanks.

***Corvettes in the judged show indoors MUST have a 1/4 tank or less of gas in accordance with Fire Marshall and Koons rules. THANK YOU!***
